Obverse description Facing head of Athena, slightly turned to the right, rendered in a three-quarter view typical of the Attic artistic tradition. The goddess wears a triple-crested Attic helmet pushed back on the head, revealing her facial features. The hair falls in loose waves on either side of the face, and the overall style reflects the influence of contemporary Athenian coinage. The flan is small and irregular, with the design centrally placed in the field.
