背面描述 Elaborate quartered coat of arms of the Eggenberg family, surmounted by a ducal crown, set within an ornate cartouche of acanthus and scrollwork. The shield displays multiple heraldic quarters incorporating a cross, a rose, an eagle, an anchor, a wheel, and other dynastic charges, reflecting the numerous titles and territories of the House of Eggenberg. The circumferential Latin legend DVC CRVM ET PRINC AB EGGENBERGER FRATRES encircles the entire design, identifying the issuers as Dukes of Krumlov and Princes of Eggenberg, brothers. A beaded border frames the legend against the outer rim.

附加信息

The joint coinage of Johann Christian and Johann Seyfried von Eggenberg dates to the period immediately following the Peace of Westphalia, when the family stood at the absolute peak of its influence within the Habsburg orbit. The Eggenbergs had effectively functioned as the emperor's closest political intermediaries for decades — Johann Ulrich von Eggenberg had been Ferdinand II's chief minister — and this hereditary coin-issuing authority was among the privileges that came with that proximity to imperial power.

The two brothers held their Bohemian territories in conjoint lordship, which accounts for the dual-named issue. Johann Seyfried died in 1669, and the dynasty itself expired in the male line by 1717.
