Reverse description The central field displays the quartered Saxon and electoral arms beneath a crowned Thuringian helmet, with the two digits of the date (16 and 63) flanking the central shield. Surrounding the central composition is an elaborate arrangement of twenty subsidiary coats of arms representing the Elector's various territorial holdings, arranged in a circular border. A Latin legend encircles the entire design, proclaiming the Elector's office as Arch-Marshal and Prince-Elector of the Holy Roman Empire, with the mintmaster's initials CR appended.
