Reverse description The famous 'Wildemann' horse (the white horse of Lower Saxony) is depicted rearing and leaping to the left over a detailed panoramic bird's-eye view of the Harz mining district, showing mine shafts, headframes, sluices, ore-processing facilities, and miners at work in a richly engraved landscape. Trees and buildings flank the scene on both sides, while in the lower register a cutaway section reveals miners laboring underground. A laurel branch decorates the upper field above the horse. The beaded border surrounds the entire composition, with the mintmaster's initials 'CL' visible in the field.
