| Obverse description | Armored half-length bust of Count Adolph of Moers facing right, depicted in three-quarter view wearing elaborately engraved plate armor with a ruff collar and a laurel sprig visible at left. The figure is rendered in high relief within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend reads: + MO * NO * ADOLPH * CO * A * NVENAR * ET * LIMP, referencing the count's titles as ruler of Neuenahr and Limburg. The square klippe format frames the circular die impression with four projecting corner tips characteristic of hammered klippe coinage. |
