On the breast of the eagle appears an escutcheon bearing the denomination numeral. The eagle's talons grip orb and sceptre. A beaded inner border frames the eagle, surrounded by the Latin circumferential legend invoking Emperor Maximilian II as Roman Emperor, Ever August, with the date 1573 appearing within the legend field.
