Obverse description Interlaced cursive monogram FJDS (Friedrich Johann Daniel Sachsen) occupying the central field, rendered in an ornate script style with elaborate flourishes and scroll-work. The monogram is surmounted by a ducal crown of elaborate form, its arches and jewelled band rendered in fine detail. The entire device is set within a plain field bordered by a continuous inner beaded circle. No legend is present on this face.
