| Beschrijving voorzijde | A small incuse rectangular countermark applied to the field of the host coin, containing the letter H approximately 3 mm in height. The countermark is boldly impressed into the billon surface, with the raised square border of the punch clearly delineated against the worn field of the underlying French Sous Marques host. The H device is rendered in a plain upright capital letter, characteristic of British colonial countermarking practice of the early nineteenth century. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays the original design of the French Sous Marques host coin, heavily worn and partially obscured by the force of the countermark punch applied to the obverse. Residual elements of the original French billon coinage device remain visible in the field, including faint traces of the characteristic crowned fleur-de-lis or royal emblems typical of Sous Marques issues, though significant wear and the distortion caused by countermarking render the original design largely indistinct. |
