| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black and red on cream paper, enclosed within an ornate scrollwork border. A central rectangular vignette presents a panoramic engraved townscape of Dülmen as it appeared in 1646, with a church spire rising above the roofline and figures in the foreground fields; the caption "Dülmen 1646" is overprinted in red above the scene. Denomination numerals "1½ Mark" appear in Gothic blackletter within decorative cartouches at left and right, with the fraction slash rendered in red, while the heading "Platzanweisung der Stadt Dülmen i.Westf." is set in blackletter script across the top; validity and magistrate signatures appear in script at the foot. |
