Above, a cloud discharges a hailstorm upon the scene, heightening the dramatic composition. The steadfast tower serves as an emblematic device signifying resolute resistance in the face of adversity. The Latin motto IMMOTA * * RESISTIT, accompanied by the date M * D : XCIII (1593), is inscribed in the legend, proclaiming 'It resists unmoved.' |
