| Aanvullende informatie |
Frederick V of Denmark held the County of Oldenburg as a personal possession of the Danish crown, and the small subsidiary coinage issued in his name there operated almost entirely outside the mainstream Danish monetary system. The 1761 date places this piece squarely in the Seven Years' War period, when German territories were routinely disrupted by Prussian and French troop movements, making even minor local coin production logistically fraught.
At under a gram, these fractional Grote pieces saw hard use in small retail transactions and rarely survived in decent condition.
