Obverse description Hammered copper flan bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold Naskh script occupying the entire field, arranged in two or three horizontal registers separated by a ruled line. The legend identifies the ruler and dynastic title of the Gujarat Sultanate. The broad, thick flan imparts a characteristically dumpy, irregular outline typical of medieval Indian copper coinage. Surfaces show natural green and brown patination consistent with age and circulation.
