Obverse description Hammered copper flan of irregular circular form bearing a three-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script, arranged within a plain square cartouche set against a flat field. The inscription reads 'Al-Sultan / Muhammad Shah / bin Ahmad Shah', identifying the ruler by name and patrilineage. The lettering is deeply struck and exhibits the characteristic angularity of medieval Gujarati sultanate coinage. The area outside the central cartouche is filled with partial marginal text that wraps around the inner square. The flan shows typical irregularities and surface patination consistent with hammered medieval copper coinage.
