| Obverse description | Epigraphic type with the field entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh script, filling the flan from rim to rim. The inscription names the sultan with his full laqab and kunya: 'al-Sultan Ghiyath al-Dunya wa'l-Din Abu'l-Fath Muhammad Shah ibn Ahmad Shah.' The regnal name is prominently rendered across the central register, with the Hijri date 847 appearing in the lower portion of the field. The coin is irregularly shaped with a rough, uneven rim typical of hammered copper coinage of the Gujarat Sultanate. |

| Reverse description | Epigraphic type with the entire field occupied by a multi-line Persian and Arabic legend in bold Naskh script, arranged in horizontal registers filling the flan. The inscription reads 'Tabdar al-Zarb Gardun Qarz Mihr u Mah,' a poetic phrase referencing the mint and celestial imagery associated with royal authority. The lettering is deeply struck with bold relief, characteristic of hammered copper coinage of the Gujarat Sultanate, and the irregular flan exhibits a pronounced green patina over the copper substrate. |
