This is a novelty or art note, not a banknote issued by any monetary authority. "Satoshi" refers to the smallest unit of Bitcoin, and a 10,000 satoshi denomination places this squarely in the territory of crypto-themed ephemera — a genre that has grown substantially since the mid-2010s as designers experiment with paper representations of digital value. Lanklu Designs is a small independent creative outfit; Lanny Lukas both designed and issued this piece, which is the entire institutional structure behind it.
