| Obverse description | The Polish imperial eagle with spread wings, crowned and facing right, occupies the central field. The denomination 'ZŁ 1000 ZŁ' is rendered in large numerals along the lower portion of the coin. The circular legend 'POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA' arcs around the upper periphery, while the date '19 86' is divided by the eagle's talons on either side. The mint mark 'MW' appears in small letters beneath the eagle. The design is executed in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field, characteristic of the Mennica Polska's trial strike production. |
