| 裏面の説明 | A sow and boar are depicted in high relief at center, rendered naturalistically and facing left, with a group of five piglets foregrounded in the lower field, some nursing and others standing amid grass tufts. Branches with large leaves extend over the scene from the upper left, adding an organic framing element. The denomination 1000元 appears in the upper right field, accompanied by the cyclical year inscription 乙亥 in Chinese characters. The composition is executed in the refined artistic style typical of Chinese lunar series proof coinage, with fine die work accentuating the animals' textures and the naturalistic setting. |

The 1995 Chinese Lunar gold series 1000 Yuan Pig issue was struck in a mintage of just 99 pieces, making it one of the lowest-production entries in the entire People's Bank lunar gold program. China's mint output for large-denomination lunar pieces in this period was deliberately constrained to drive collector demand, a strategy the People's Bank had been refining since the lunar series launched in 1981.
The 12 oz format placed this coin among the heaviest issues in the series that year, and surviving examples rarely appear at auction outside of Asian markets.
