| Obverse description | At left, an oval vignette bears a portrait of Sun Yat-sen, set against a red-brown guilloche underprint of fine lacework and a radiating sunburst pattern at centre. The bank title 中央銀行 is inscribed at top, with the denomination 壹仟圓 rendered in an ornate cartouche at centre-right; denomination numerals and Chinese characters repeat in all four corners, flanked by decorative floral rosettes. Two red seal impressions appear at lower centre. |
