Opmerkingen

The Bank of Chang Chung was a short-lived regional institution operating under the Nationalist-aligned administration in Manchuria during the final, chaotic phase of the Chinese Civil War. By 1948, Changchun itself was under siege by Communist forces — a blockade that lasted roughly five months and resulted in catastrophic civilian casualties. Notes issued that year would have circulated, if at all, in a city being systematically starved into surrender.

Changchun fell to the People's Liberation Army in October 1948. Any paper issued by this bank effectively became worthless within months of printing.
