| Obverse description | Intaglio portrait of Chiang Kai-shek in military uniform at right, rendered in finely engraved detail against a plain field. The centre of the note carries the denomination 壹仟圓 within an elaborate dark guilloche medallion, flanked by multicolour underprint rosettes in green and red.
