| 背面描述 | Central field displays the colorized unified National Parks of Japan logo — a stylized square emblem with a pink-to-blue gradient and a distinctive curved cutout at the upper right — set below the bold Latin inscription 'National Parks of Japan' arranged in three lines. Encircling the central device, the legend 国立公園制度100年 (100th Anniversary of the National Park System) runs along the upper periphery in Chinese characters. The lower peripheral legend reads •1000YEN• 令和6年• (1000 Yen, Year 6 of Reiwa) separated by raised dots, combining Arabic numerals, Latin, and Chinese characters in a continuous circular arrangement. |

Yambaru National Park, established in 2016 in northern Okinawa, protects one of the last remaining subtropical broadleaf forests in Japan — habitat for the Okinawa rail, a flightless bird that exists nowhere else on earth. The park was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021, which directly prompted this commemorative issue under the Japan Mint's ongoing national parks series.
The series has issued coins for dozens of parks since its inception, but Okinawa entries attract particular secondary-market attention given the prefecture's distinct cultural identity and the relative difficulty of sourcing issues outside Japan without significant premium.
