| Obverse description | A full-color photographic composition depicting two iconic landmarks of Nikkō National Park. In the upper portion of the field, Mount Chausu (Nasu) is rendered with volcanic steam rising from its rocky summit, framed by vivid autumn foliage in shades of red, orange, and gold. In the lower portion, the celebrated Shinkyo Bridge — a traditional lacquered vermillion-red arched bridge — spans a clear mountain stream with moss-covered stones visible beneath.
