Reverse description The reverse presents an elegantly composed design in proof finish, featuring a spray of cherry blossoms (sakura) in high relief occupying the left portion of the field, their delicate petals and buds rendered with fine detail. To the upper right, a cluster of stylized snowflake and hexagonal geometric motifs — evoking the prefecture's diverse seasonal character — is struck in intricate relief against a frosted and mirror-polished background with a golden-toned arc sweeping across the right field. The commemorative inscription 地方自治六十年 (60 Years of Local Autonomy) is boldly engraved across the center, with the denomination 1000 and YEN displayed prominently beneath. The Japanese era date 平成24年 (Year 24 of Heisei, corresponding to 2012) is inscribed along the lower rim, and the series position indicator (47/60) identifies this as the 47th coin in the 60-prefecture commemorative series.
