| 背面描述 | Central design features a stylized arrangement of cherry blossoms and a crescent motif surrounded by decorative snowflakes, the largest of which incorporates latent image security technology revealing concealed imagery when viewed from different angles. The composition is rendered in the polished proof finish of the silver field, contrasting with the finely detailed floral and geometric elements. Inscriptions include the series designation 地方自治六十年 (60th Anniversary of Local Autonomy) and the denomination 1000 YEN in both numerals and Latin characters. The date 平成27年 (Year 27 of the Heisei era, corresponding to 2015) appears in the lower field, along with the sequential prefectural issue number (47/60) indicating Chiba's position in the series. |

Part of Japan Mint's 47 Prefectures Coin Program, which ran from 2008 to 2016 and produced a distinct silver issue for each of Japan's prefectures. Chiba Prefecture's selection reflects its geographic identity as the peninsula enclosing Tokyo Bay to the east — home to Narita International Airport and a coastline that made it historically significant as a maritime and commercial gateway long before the airport era.
The program was limited to 100,000 pieces per prefectural issue.
