Reverse description The reverse presents a clean, modernist graphic design against a mirror-polished proof field. To the upper left, a circular arrangement of twelve rectangular segments forms the official EXPO 2005 logo emblem. To the upper right, the legend EXPO / 2005 AICHI / JAPAN is inscribed in bold Latin characters in three lines. The lower half of the field is divided by three horizontal parallel lines of varying width, evoking a stylized flag or banner motif, with the Japanese era date 平成16年 (Heisei Year 16) inscribed to the right of a milled security bar element. The denomination 1000 and the inscription YEN appear in large numerals and Latin letters at the bottom of the field.
