Description de l’avers	Central field features the official emblem of the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games — a stylized five-petalled flower motif with interlocking diagonal elements — flanked on either side by an upswept laurel branch, the two branches meeting at the base where a small yin-yang (taeguk) symbol is positioned. The date 1982 appears in the upper field above the emblem, while the legend SEOUL '88 is inscribed below the emblem, and the numeral denomination 1000 appears in the lower field above the laurel junction.

Description du revers	Two traditional Korean folk performers depicted in dynamic motion occupy the central field: the left figure, wearing traditional hanbok, plays a barrel drum (buk) while swinging a long ribbon from his hat, and the right figure performs with a flowing sash in the manner of a nongak (farmers' music and dance) entertainer. The surrounding legend in Hangul script reads along the upper periphery and the lower field carries the issuer name and denomination.
