| Obverse description | Central field features the emblem of the Bank of Mongolia — a stylised soyombo-topped cartouche enclosing the Cyrillic legend 'Монгол Банк' in script lettering above a decorative bow, surmounted by a lotus-petal base. Flanking the central emblem are two vertical inscriptions in the traditional Mongolian script. Below the emblem, the denomination '1000' appears in large numerals with 'TUGRIG' beneath in Latin lettering. A circular border legend in the lower portion of the field reads '*MONGOLIA* 1/4 OZ 583.3 GOLD*2000*', with a serrated inner border running along the entire coin periphery. |
