The egg, rendered in translucent rose-pink enamel with rich amber and green iridescence, is adorned with sculpted gold-toned lily of the valley sprays bearing pearl-like blossoms in high relief. A jewelled imperial crown surmounts the egg, while an ornate gold-toned pedestal supports it from below.
