| Obverse description | Central device features the arms of the Bank of Mongolia: a circular cartouche surmounted by a flame and crescent finial, enclosing the cursive legend 'Монгол Банк' above an ornate interlaced knot, all supported by a wreath of lotus blossoms. Part of a broader series of Mongolian wildlife gold minors issued in the mid-2000s, these fractional pieces were struck primarily for the collector and bullion markets rather than domestic circulation — Mongolia had no tradition of gold coinage in everyday commerce. The 1/25 oz format was a deliberate nod to international fractional bullion conventions of the period, aimed squarely at foreign buyers.
