Qazaq küresі is the traditional Kazakh wrestling style — a standing grapple with no ground work, bouts decided by throwing the opponent. It was formally recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2022, one of several Central Asian wrestling traditions granted that status in a joint multinational nomination alongside Uzbek kurash and Kyrgyz wrestling forms.
