| Obverse description | The obverse features a mirror-polished field bearing a central depiction of the protoma of winged horses with mountain goat horns, an ornamental element from the kulah-khood headdress of the Scythian Golden Man. The denomination '1000 ТЕҢГЕ' is inscribed in two lines in the lower field, with the date '2001' beneath it, flanked by two dot separators. The circumferential legend reads 'ҚАЗАҚСТАН РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ' in Kazakh and 'REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN' in English, divided at the apex by decorative figured plaques derived from the kulah-khood ornamentation. |
