The Argymaq — also spelled Argyamak — is the ancient Kazakh term for a thoroughbred horse of Central Asian lineage, historically prized across the steppe for endurance and speed over long distances rather than short-burst power. These horses were central to nomadic military logistics and appear in Kazakh oral epic poetry, the zhyrau tradition, as symbols of a warrior's worth. Kazakhstan has issued collectible silver coins with embedded gemstones since the early 2000s, and the single diamond insert here follows a format the National Bank has used across multiple wildlife and cultural series.
