| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is entirely covered with inscribed text filling the field in a grid-like arrangement of angular, stylized capital letters inspired by medieval epigraphy. The names of historical moneyers active at the Sigtuna mint during the 11th century are listed across the face: SCEUT, AELFRIC, SNELLING, ULFCENTEL, LEOFMAN, GODWINE, and THREGR, arranged in successive horizontal registers. These names reflect the significant Anglo-Saxon influence on early Swedish coinage, as many moneyers at Sigtuna were of English origin. The bold, incuse lettering covers virtually the entire reverse field with no border, creating a dense epigraphic composition characteristic of commemorative issues of this type. |
