Opmerkingen

The Kyrgyz som was introduced on 10 May 1993, replacing the Soviet ruble at a rate of 200 rubles per som — one of the later Central Asian republics to break from the transitional ruble zone. This commemorative marks exactly three decades from that date. Crane Currency has printed Kyrgyz notes since the earliest issues; the relationship predates Kyrgyz National Bank independence in any meaningful operational sense, making the choice of printer for this anniversary note entirely consistent with the series history.

P#39 is a commemorative denomination, not a replacement for circulating 1000 som notes already in the series.
