Obverse description The obverse carries paired portrait vignettes of two Peruvian national heroes: Rear Admiral Miguel Grau at left, facing right, and Colonel Francisco Bolognesi at right, facing left, rendered in intaglio. The Coat of Arms of Peru is centred between the portraits, with three facsimile signature lines of the Director, President, and General Manager of the Banco Central de Reserva appearing below. Guilloche underprint patterns fill the field, with the denomination value printed at both lower corners.
