| Obverse description | The coat of arms of Uganda occupies the central field, depicting a shield decorated with a sun motif flanked by a Uganda kob (antelope) rampant on the left and a grey crowned crane standing on the right, both serving as supporters. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto in the exergue. The legend 'BANK OF UGANDA' arcs along the upper periphery, with the date '19 94' split to either side of the shield.
