| 备注 |
Giesecke & Devrient's Leipzig plant has supplied Tanzanian banknotes across several series, and this note falls within a relatively stable period for the Tanzanian shilling — inflation, while chronic through much of the 1990s, had eased enough by 2003 that a 1,000-shilling denomination still carried meaningful purchasing power. The issue ran three years before the series was updated, which kept individual print runs short by regional standards.
Security provision on this series is modest: watermark and security thread only, with no color-shifting ink or microprinting. Survivorship in high grades is complicated by Tanzania's tropical humidity, which accelerates paper fatigue even in relatively brief circulation.
