| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized depiction of a Himalayan mountain range within a raised inner circle. The denomination रू १००० (Rs. 1000) appears in Devanagari script below the mountain motif. A beaded border frames the inner circle, with the circular Devanagari legend reading नेपाल रेडक्रस सोसाईटी (Nepal Red Cross Society) along the upper arc and स्वर्ण जयन्ती २०२० - २०७० (Golden Jubilee 2020–2070 V.S.) along the lower arc. Issued to mark the 150th anniversary of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, founded in 1863 following Henry Dunant's firsthand witness of the Battle of Solferino. Nepal's participation in this commemorative program reflects the country's long engagement with humanitarian operations — the Nepal Red Cross Society has been active since 1963, coinciding with the movement's centenary.
