Aanvullende informatie

Nepal's National Museum in Kathmandu, established in 1928, houses one of the most significant collections of Hindu and Buddhist artifacts in South Asia — including weaponry from the Rana oligarchy period that the museum's founding was partly intended to memorialize. This issue belongs to a broader Nepali commemorative program that accelerated sharply after the 2008 abolition of the monarchy, as the newly declared republic sought institutional symbols to replace royal iconography on its commemorative coinage.

The .500 fineness is characteristic of Nepali silver commemoratives of this period, a deliberate cost-control measure by Nepal Rastra Bank.
