A motto ribbon below the shield bears the Latin inscription NON NOBIS SED PATRIAE. The circular legend MAURITIUS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY arcs around the upper and lateral rim, while the commemorative inscription 150th Anniversary / 25th January 2000 appears in two lines across the lower field.
