| Obverse description | Traditional Nepalese yantra-style design composed of interlocking rectangular cartouches arranged in a cruciform pattern, surrounded by an outer beaded border. The royal name and titles of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev are inscribed in Devanagari script within the central and surrounding panels, reading श्री श्री श्रीपञ्च वीरेन्द्र वीर विक्रम शाह देव. Decorative symbols including a lotus blossom, a conch shell, and a trident medallion at the center ornament the interstices of the frame. The Bikram Sambat date 2045 appears at the base within the lower cartouche. The entire design is executed in high-relief proof finish against a mirror field. |
