| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse of this rectangular gold bullion piece features an elaborate ornamental composition centered on a raised circular medallion containing an Orthodox cross with a small circular recess at its center. The medallion is surrounded by intricate symmetrical filigree-style floral and foliate scrollwork filling the entire rectangular field, rendered in high relief. At the upper portion of the field, the Belarusian state emblem appears above the Cyrillic legend РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ. The denomination 1000 РУБЛЁЎ and the date 2014 are inscribed along the lower margin. The overall design evokes the decorative tradition of Orthodox ecclesiastical metalwork. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a finely detailed rendition of the Theotokos of the Sign (Znamenie) icon in high relief against a dark contrasting field. The Virgin Mary is depicted orans, her arms raised with palms outward, wearing traditional maphorion drapery, with a radiant halo encircling her head. At the center of her torso appears a circular medallion containing the Christ Child Emmanuel in a blessing pose, consistent with Byzantine iconographic tradition. Two flanking angels are rendered in the upper corners of the field, and the Cyrillic inscription ЗНАМЕННЕ appears prominently in the lower exergue. The composition faithfully reproduces the aesthetic conventions of medieval Russian Orthodox icon painting. |
