Obverse description Lilac-brown on pale ground. The note is a perforated overprint on an original 1917 Russian Treasury short-term obligation. The denomination "Руб. 1000" appears in the upper right, with large numerals "1000" printed vertically at left. Central text in Cyrillic reads the 5% short-term Treasury obligation payable at the State Bank, with a decorative headpiece vignette at top centre featuring an imperial double-headed eagle. A manuscript serial number appears at lower centre, with printed facsimile signatures of Treasury officials below.
