Obverse description Predominantly text-based design printed in rose-pink and black on white paper, with a central body of Cyrillic text setting out the terms of the obligation, dated 15 February 1919. A diamond-shaped ornamental vignette appears at left centre, flanked by the denomination numeral '1000' in tall gothic-style figures; a matching ornamental device is placed at right. Three manuscript signatures of issuing officials appear in the lower portion of the note, above a further printed Cyrillic attestation line and a cashier's countersignature, with the serial number in the lower left field. French and English denomination legends run vertically along the left and right margins respectively.
