The 1995 Russian 1000 Roubles (Pick 261) belongs to the brief transitional window between the catastrophic hyperinflation of 1992–1993 and the 1998 redenomination that would strip three zeroes from the currency. At its issue, 1000 roubles was already a note of modest practical value — inflation had eroded purchasing power so severely that higher denominations were in far heavier daily use.
The "Printed: 30.04.1945" field in the catalog data is almost certainly a metadata error and should be verified against the physical note.
