Reverse description Dark green intaglio-printed reverse dominated by a large central vignette of the Faravahar (Zoroastrian winged symbol) with a human figure. Two circular medallions at upper left and right each contain a Lion and Sun (Shir-o-Khorshid) emblem. Elaborate guilloche lace-work fills the borders, with corner numerals 1000 repeated on all sides. The issuance date in Persian and the denomination appear in two lines flanking the Faravahar, with the printer's imprint 'AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY' at the very bottom.
