Obverse description Central vignette of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi in military uniform within an ornate oval guilloche frame, set against an intricate floral arabesque underprint in deep brown tones. The bank name in Persian script appears in a cartouche at the top centre, with the denomination in Persian script to the right of the portrait. The Persian calendar year 1341 is printed at the bottom centre, and two signature facsimiles appear to the lower right of the vignette.

Reverse description Central intaglio vignette of the Tomb of Hafez (Aramgah-e Hafez) in Shiraz, rendered in fine engraving and showing the domed open-air pavilion surrounded by tall trees and formal gardens. The bank name "BANK MARKAZI IRAN" is printed in Latin script within a cartouche at the top, with the denomination "1000" and Persian script repeated in the lower corners. A large blank oval to the right serves as the watermark area.
