Beschrijving voorzijde Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, modelled by Martin Jennings, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The portrait is naturalistically detailed, depicting the King in civilian dress with closely cropped hair. A continuous Latin legend arcs around the upper periphery reading CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 1000 POUNDS, with the date 2025 continuing around the lower periphery, all separated by raised dots. The engraver's initials MJ appear discreetly below the truncation of the portrait.

Beschrijving keerzijde Dramatic panoramic composition depicting British and American troops engaged in combat during the Battles of Lexington and Concord of April 1775, rendered in fine sculptural relief. The scene captures the chaos and tension of the opening engagements of the American Revolutionary War, with soldiers positioned across the field in dynamic poses evoking the moment known as the shot heard round the world. The reverse was designed by Matt Greco, whose initials MG appear within the design. A circular legend around the periphery reads THE SHOT HEARD ROUND THE WORLD, with the commemorative inscription 250·YEARS completing the surround.
