| 背面描述 | A bold and highly sculptural composition depicting Britannia, helmeted and facing right, dominating the left portion of the field as she holds a tall trident in her right hand and a column topped with a flaming torch in her left. Alongside her, the allegorical figure of Liberty faces right in the lower portion of the design, her flowing hair adorned with stars, evoking a sense of dynamic movement and shared ideals of freedom. The engravers' initials GS and JFM are placed discreetly within the design. The surrounding legend BRITANNIA AND LIBERTY arcs across the upper field, while the lower exergual legend reads 2024 · 1 KILO 999 FINE GOLD, confirming the coin's weight and fineness. |

The pairing of Britannia with an American Liberty figure for this issue marks the first collaborative coin between the Royal Mint and the United States Mint — a joint release that required years of negotiation between the two institutions. At just over a kilogram of .9999 fine gold, the 100mm format places it among the largest coins the Royal Mint has ever struck, a category historically reserved for special commissions and sovereign gifts rather than anything approaching general issue.
Charles III's effigy appears on a Royal Mint product for only the second full calendar year, his portrait having been formally approved following the extended design review that delayed his coinage well into 2023.
