正面描述 The obverse centres on a multicolour intaglio vignette of the Roman amphitheatre of Bosra set against a green and olive guilloche underprint, with a geometric Islamic star ornament in teal, pink and yellow at left beside a gold metallic star-shaped security patch. Denomination numerals '١٠٠٠' appear in Arabic-Indic script at upper right and lower left, with the issuing authority's name in Arabic at top centre. The full denomination 'ألف ليرة سورية' and the dual Hijri/Gregorian date '١٤٣٥ هـ - ٢٠١٣ م' run along the lower portion of the note.

备注

Syria's 1000 Pounds had already been issued in earlier series, but the 2013 printing is notable for its timing: the country was deep into civil war, with large portions of the banking system functionally paralyzed and currency demand shifting erratically between government-held and opposition-held territory. Printing continued abroad regardless.

Goznak's involvement here reflects a longer relationship between Syrian and Russian state institutions — not a wartime improvisation. Russian banknote production for Syria predates the conflict by decades. By 2013, that arrangement carried obvious geopolitical weight.
